Julie McCarty "Embarrassed" by Handling of Shafi Controversy- Regrets Getting Darl Easton Elected

UPDATE: In fairness I have, at Julie McCarty's request, changed the original headline.  The original read "Julie McCarty 'Embarrassed' by Deal Easton Handing of Shafi Controversy".  Mrs. McCarty has clarified that she meant that she was embarrassed by the handling of the situation on both sides.  The screenshot of the exchange is included at the bottom so the reader may judge for themselves what Mrs. McCarty was saying in context.

In a recent blog I wrote:

There has been a concerted effort by the Tarrant County Republican Party leadership in cooperation with the liberal media, to establish a narrative that the opposition to Shahid Shafi is driven by bigotry.

In that blog, I called for Darl's resignation and invited readers to sign a petition calling for Darl's resignation.

Now Northeast Tarrant County Tea Party President Julie McCarty says that she regrets helping Darl Easton become County Chair and is embarrassed by the handling of the Shafi controversy.

Today, in the Tarrant County Republican Party Discussion group on Facebook, user Larry Beck posted:

Considering the actions of the TCGOP leadership in using the demoncrat Mainstream Media to attack any and all Republicans they disagree with or think may oppose them or their candidates, it is clear that the TCGOP leadership should be removed and a new leadership that is actually REPUBLICAN can be installed so that we can return to actually fighting for Republican principles instead of copying the most disgusting of demoncrat tactics

Julie McCarty responded:

I completely agree that inviting the media into this battle was a really foolish thing to do. I'm embarrassed by how terribly this has been handled by those who should know better.

When user Philip Wynne responded:

Julie White McCarty The County Chairman, various elected officials, several SREC members, and Shafi himself have run to the lazy, lying, leftist media to smear or imply that anybody who doesn't agree with them is racist, bigot, xenophobe, islamophobe, not to mention lie about the Constitution to suit their needs. It's absolutely appalling.

Julie McCarty "liked" his comment.

A user named Ashley Robinson responded by asking "wasnt Barnes talked out of running for this chair?"

This clearly was a reference to the fact that in the final hours before the deadline for filing, Julie McCarty is said to have talked anticipated Easton opponent Rick Barnes into filing not to run for County Chair, but to run for Tax Assessor Collector instead.  This "deal" opened the way for Darl Easton to step unopposed into the office of Tarrant GOP County Chair.

McCarty responded "That's a big regret."

Regardless of which side one takes on the appointment of Shahid Shafi as Vice Chair of the Tearrant County Republican Party, Darl Easton should have foreseen that such a controversial appointment would plunge the Tarrant County GOP into division and created a public relations nightmare for our party. The only press the Tarrant GOP has gotten with Darl at the helm is bad press. Instead of taking responsibility for his decisions, as a good leader should, he has tried to shift the blame on his advisers and his opposition. The Tarrant County Republican party needs new leadership if we are to unite and keep Tarrant red. Darl needs to be a man, and recognize that the party is best served with his resignation.

Sign the Petition to ask for Darl Easton's resignation.

GOP Family Values: Judeo-Christian or Islamic?

The GOP has long been known as the family values party.  But will it remain the party of Judeo-Christian Family values?

Our Texas Republican Party Platform states:

"We, the 2018 Republican Party of Texas, believe in this platform and expect our elected leaders to uphold these truths through acknowledgment and action. We believe in:... 6. Self-sufficient families, founded on the traditional marriage of a natural man and a natural woman."

What does this principle mean?

Plank 62 elaborates saying:

62. We support the affirmation of traditional Judeo-Christian family values and oppose the continued assault on those values.

And then in planks 316 and 317 our platform elaborates further:

We affirm God’s biblical design for marriage and sexual behavior between one biological man and one biological woman, which has proven to be the foundation for all great nations in Western civilization....
(Plank 316)

We support the definition of marriage as a God-ordained, legal, and moral commitment only between one natural man and one natural woman.
(Plank 317)

By "Biblical design" and "God ordained" the planks are clearly referring to Matthew 19:1-6:

[4] And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, (Genesis 1:27)
[5] And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh (Genesis 2:27)?
[6] Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
(Matthew 19:4-6)

But the Quran plainly claims that "God ordained" marriage is a union between one man and up to four women:

"...marry such women as seem good to you, two and three and four;..."
(Quran Surah 4:3)

One simply cannot accept that the Quran is true, and also accept the God ordained Biblical design for marriage as stipulated in the Texas Republican Party Platform.  Islamic family values are not the same as Judeo-Christian Family Values.

Someone who does not believe in the principles of our platform is not well suited for a position of leadership in propagating our platform, That is no more bigotry than a business refusing to hire a one legged man to serve as a runner, He is simply not well suited for the position, no matter how much political correctness one tries to add to the equation.

Video: Dispelling myths about removal of Muslim from appointed position in Tarrant GOP

Why the Texas GOP Platform Supports Israel; And why Islam Generally Does Not

Why the Texas GOP Platform Supports Israel
And why Islam Generally Does Not
By
James Scott Trimm

The Texas Republican Platform says concerning Israel:

207. Israel: We are grateful that the US Embassy in Israel has been moved to Jerusalem. We believe that Jerusalem should remain Israel’s undivided capital, accessible to people of all faiths. The United States should continue to support Israel militarily, financially, and technologically. We oppose any pressuring of Israel to make concessions they believe would jeopardize their security. We strongly oppose the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, on all levels, including and especially on college campuses, at the United Nations, and by anti-West non-governmental organizations. We believe there should not be a Palestinian state within the historical borders of Israel. Our policy is inspired by God’s biblical promise to bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel, and we further invite other nations and organizations to enjoy the benefits of that promise.
208. Israel’s Sovereignty: We further insist upon Israel’s right to exist, its right to secure borders, and its right to the land secured by practicing self-defense from aggressive enemies. We strongly encourage other nations of the world to respect Israel’s sovereignty, right of self-determination, and right of self-defense.

Let us explore the foundation of these planks.  The Platform specifically says:

Our policy is inspired by God’s biblical promise to bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel, and we further invite other nations and organizations to enjoy the benefits of that promise.
(Plank 207)

The Plank is specifically referring to a phrase found in Genesis 12:1-3

[1] Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
[2] And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
[3] And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
(Gen. 12:1-3 KJV)

However here the Bible comes into direct conflict with Islam.  Islam teaches that Ishmael was heir to Abraham's blessing.  As we read in the Quran:

54. Also mention in the Book (the story of) Isma'il: He was (strictly) true to what he promised, and he was an apostle (and) a prophet.
55. He used to enjoin on his people Prayer and Charity, and he was most acceptable in the sight of his Lord.
(Quran Surah 19:54)

Islam identifies Ishamel as ancestor of the Arabs and specifically as the ancestor of Muhammed.  In fact Islam maintains that it was Ishmael not Isaac that was to be offered up by Abraham in the event we see recorded in Genesis 22.

However the Bible clearly teaches that it was Isaac and not Ishmael who waas the sole heir to Abraham's promise:

19 And God said: Nay, but Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac. And I will establish My covenant with him, for an everlasting covenant for his seed after him.
(Gen. 17:19)

[10] Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.
[11] And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son.
[12] And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.
[13] And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.
(Genesis 21:10-13)

17 I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near. There shall step forth a star out of Jacob, and a scepter shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite through the corners of Moab, and break down all the sons of Sheth.
(Num. 24:17)

This blessing passed from Isaac to Jacob, but not to Jacob's brother Esau:

[26] And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son.
[27] And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the LORD hath blessed:
[28] Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine:
[29] Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother's sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee.
(Gen. 27:26-29 KJV)

The blessing was evident when the Jewish people went out from Egypt:

[20] Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
[21] Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.
[22] But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.
(Ex. 23:20-23 KJV)

And when Balak, the king of Moab, hired Balaam to curse Israel, Balaam was unable to do so.  He tried three times.

[5] And the LORD put a word in Balaam's mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.
[6] And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab.
[7] And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.
[8] How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied?
[9] For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.
[10] Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!
[11] And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether.
[12] And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD hath put in my mouth?
(Numbers 23:5-12 KJV)

Balam tried again with a similar result:

[16] And the LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus.
[17] And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the LORD spoken?
[18] And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor:
[19] God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
[20] Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.
[21] He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.
[22] God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.
[23] Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!
[24] Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.
[25] And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.
(Numbers 23:16-25 KJV)

And he tried a third dime to curse Isarel:

[1] And when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.
[2] And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.
[3] And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:
[4] He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
[5] How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel!
[6] As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river's side, as the trees of lign aloes which the LORD hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters.
[7] He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted.
[8] God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.
[9] He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.
[10] And Balak's anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times.
(Numbers 24:1-10)

Being that it is Hannukah, I will add that centuries later when Heliodorus failed in his effort to raid the Temple Treasurty, he reported back to the Greco-Syrian king "He who has his dwelling in heaven watches over that place himself and brings it aid, and he strikes and destroys those who do it injury." (2Maccabees 3:39)

This is why the Texas Republican platform declares its support for Israel with Jerusalem as its undivided capital and opposes the creation of a Palestinian state within the historic borders of Israel.  This position is inspired by "inspired by God’s biblical promise" to the seed of Abraham through Isaac and through Jacob. But this plank is based on a Biblical promise which was made to the seed of Isaac, and not to the seed of Ishmael. It is no wonder that this platform plank does not sit well with many Muslims.   It is a promise of blessings on Israel's allies and a curse upon Israel's enemies.

I ask you all to stand with Israel, and stand with our pro-Israel platform, and not join with those who are abandoning it in order to reach out and appeal to a largely anti-Israel Islamic community.

Anti-Pro-Life. Pro-Obamacare PAC Endorses Shahid Shafi

Anti-Pro-Life. Pro-Obamacare PAC Endorses Shahid Shafi
By
James Scott Trimm

TexPac is the political arm of the Texas Medical Association and is an infamous anti-life PAC, not just protecting abortion, but euthanasia and death panels as well.   (TMA).  TexPac is also known foir its support of Obamacare.

When the famous Pro-Life bill HB 2 was SB 5 (before Wendy Davis Filibustered SB 5 and it was reintroduced as HB 2)  TMA stood strongly against the bill.  Texas Right to Life has documented TMA’a opposition to Pro-Life legislation going back to at least 2003!  Including support of the infamous Texas death panel law.  See "Texas Medical Association Protects Abortionists" on the Texas Right to Life Website for more details.

The Texas Medical Association has also lobbied for Expansion of Obamacare in Texas.

See also Pro-Abortion, pro-Death Panel, Pro-Obamacare liberal special interest group endorses Byron Cook by Adam Cahnman

Now TexaPac has endorsed Shahid Shafi, the controversial, CAIR endorsed Vice Chair of the Tarrant County Republican Party.  This blogger has obtained a copy of this December 3rd letter of support from TMA/TexPac to Darl Easton strongly endorsing Shahid Shafi:

On January 10th the Tarrant County Republican Party Executive Committee will vote on whether or not to remove Shafi from his position as Vice Chair.  Tarrant County GOP does not need a Vice Chair endorsed by TexPac and the TMA (not to mention CAIR).

Texas GOP Resolutions Committee Opts Against Pro-Shafi Resolution

Texas GOP Resolutions Committee Chooses Against Pro-Shafi Resolution

This weekend the Texas SREC (State Republican Party Executive Committee) Resolutions Committee considered the following Resolution, authored by Sam "Tripp" Bryant (SD22) and Summer Wise (SD24), supporting CAIR endorsed Tarrant Vice Chair Shahid Shafi, and embattled Tarrant County Chair Darl Easton:

Resolution supporting Dr. Shahid Shafi as vice-chair of the Tarrant County Republican Party.

Whereas the Republican Party of Texas affirms and supports every American’s right to practice their religion (RPT Legislative Priority “Religious Freedom and Privacy”, RPT Platform Planks 84, 305, 306) and recognizes the contributions of Republicans of every faith who advance conservative policies and ideals,

Whereas Dr. Shahid Shafi, when not saving lives as a trauma surgeon, promotes conservatism as a member of the Southlake City Council, president of the Southlake Republican Club, and vice-chair of the Tarrant County Republican Party and demonstrates through deed and voice his dedication and servant leadership to Republicans in his community and beyond,

Therefore, be it resolved that the Republican Party of Texas strongly encourages the Tarrant County Republican Party Executive Committee to continue to support Dr. Shafi in his role as Vice Chair of their organization. Dr. Shafi brings vitality and the rich background of an immigrant who came to the US legally and sought out the American Dream. These are the values of the Party of Lincoln and Reagan, and we fully support his involvement and contributions to our shared cause.

Be it further resolved that this document be shared with the Tarrant County Executive Committee on or before the planned January CEC meeting. We encourage Chairman Darl Easton to read it to the body during the meeting.

Additionally, be it resolved that The Republican Party of Texas calls for the Tarrant County Republican Party Executive Committee and all Republican organizations to advocate and adhere to our platform planks protecting and preserving religious liberty for all Americans , a fundamental principle which has been a bedrock of our society and government since its inception.

Authored by:
Sam “Tripp” Bryant, SD22
Summer Wise, SD24

Signatories:
Terry Holcomb Sr., SD3
Mike McCloskey, SD5
Warren Norred, SD10
JT Edwards, SD11
Jan Duncan, SD14

Shafi has been endorsed by CAIR which our platform repudiates for its ties to Hamas. Shafi has refused for months to renounce and repudiate that endorsement. He has also refused for months to respond to calls that he state that he will support our pro-Israel platform an thus support Israel with Jerusalem as its undivided capital and oppose creation of a Palestinian state within the historic borders of Israel. This has to do with our platform. As for the first amendment and freedom of religion, neither have anything to do with this. No one is suggesting that Shafi be deprived of the right to believe anything he wants. The Republican party is a private organization, and as such is at liberty to decide for itself who is well suited to serve as an appointed leader.

Satanists and Identity Christians also have the right to believe whatever repugnant things they like, but that does not mean they are well suited to be appointed to leadership in our party.

The State Resolutions Committee rejected this resolution, instead, overwhelmingly passing this much different resolution in its place:

Resolution In Support of Non-Discrimination

WHEREAS The Republican Party of Texas affirms its commitment to Republican Party of Texas rule number 3, which states,

Discrimination Prohibited
Participation in any Republican convention or meeting including, but not limited to, any primary caucus, any meeting or convention held for the purposes of selecting delegates to a County, District, State, or National Convention shall in no way be abridged for reason of sex, age, race, religion, color, or national origin; and

WHEREAS, the Republican Party of Texas affirms and supports all Americans’ right to practice their religion (RPT Legislative Priority “Religious Freedom and Privacy”, RPT Platform Planks 84, 305, 306) and recognizes the contributions of Republicans of every faith who advance conservative policies and ideals; now

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the State Republican Executive Committee encourages all Republican county executive committees to follow the Rules of the Republican Party of Texas related to participation in meetings and conventions; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Republican Party of Texas calls for all Republican organizations to advocate and adhere to our platform planks protecting and preserving religious liberty for all Americans, a fundamental principle which has been a bedrock of our society and government since its inception; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to all Republican county chairs in Texas.

Respectfully submitted,
Resolutions Committee

This very different resolution does not mention Shahid Shafi, Darl Easton, or even Tarrant County.

Most importantly, no one has suggested denying Shahid Shafi the right to participate in any meeting " held for the purposes of selecting delegates to a County, District, State, or National Convention."  And no one has suggested denying Shahid Shafi the right to practice his religion.

Bigotry Narrative Established by Tarrant GOP Leaders- Darl Easton Should Resign

Bigotry Narrative was Established by Tarrant  GOP Leaders
Darl Easton Should Resign
By
James Scott Trimm

There has been a concerted effort by the Tarrant County Republican Party leadership in cooperation with the liberal media, to establish a narrative that the opposition to Shahid Shafi is driven by bigotry.

This is simply not true.  In fact in a recent article supporting Shafi, Republican Precinct Chair Warren Norred  admitted "While Dr. Shafi is a Muslim, it's not mere bigotry driving this concern."

In fact those who oppose Dr. Shafi's appointment do so for a variety of reasons.

On August 31st I published an article titled Has Tarrant County GOP Turned its Back on Israel?

This article was about how Shafi had refused to publicly state that he would support Israel with Jerusalem as its undivided capital and oppose creation of a Palestinian state within the historic borders of Israel.  My concern was not that Shafi was a Muslim, but that he did not appear to support our pro-Israel platform.

Later that same day, I got a message from a Party official (who shall remain nameless) saying:

"It is a simple narrative that I am trying to establish. The TCGOP does not approve of bigotry within the party. I understand your concerns and its importance, I get it. ... Perception is everything. ... I would ask a favor, please stop working against what my goal is here..."

The leadership within the Tarrant County Republican Party collaborated with the liberal media to intentionally establish the bigotry narrative.

They have also tried to establish the narrative that the opposition to Shafi is "a very small group."  However, it became apparent at the  November 10th meeting that this claim was false as well.

Anyone who attended the meeting could see that the opposition to Shafi was the clear majority.  When Shafi spoke, his supporters tried, and failed, to initiate a standing ovation, but instead most of the audience was subdued to say the least.  And not one procedural vote went Darl Easton's way.  One thing was for certain, Shafi's opposition was not a "small group" at all.

As County Chair Darl Easton has created a mess.  While Tarrant County has turned purple on his watch, his focus has been on making and defending controversial appointments.

Darl and his administration have intentionally established a narrative that the effort to remove Shafi is "bigotry" by a "small group" and not the position of the majority.

This has now created a public relations nightmare.  The party is divided and will not unite under Darl's leadership with these controversial appointments in place.  Yet, since Darl and his cohorts, have established a narrative for the liberal media that this is only about bigotry, the liberal media will attack the party as "bigots" (as they already have, thanks to Darl and his administration) when he is removed.  If Shafi resigns, the damage would be less, but the liberal media would still spin it that Shafi was "forced out" by bigotry.

There is only one way forward that limits damage to the party at this point.  Darl Easton must, for the good of the party, resign.  With Darl's resignation, all of his controversial appointments simply evaporate with no action needed by the Executive Committee.  The question is, is Darl Easton more concerned with what is best for the party, or is his primary concern his own ambition?

Please Darl, you alone can fix this mess!  Resign, and allow the party move forward out of this mess you have created!

Sign the Petition to ask for Darl Easton's resignation.

Shafi Attempts to Mislead Tarrant Republicans

Shafi Attempts to Mislead Tarrant Republicans
By
James Scott Trimm

Tarrant County GOP Vice Chair Shahid Shafi has been asked for months now to make a public statement that he will publicly support Israel with Jerusalem as its undivided capital, and that he would oppose creation of a Palestinian state within the historic borders of Israel, in keeping with our Texas Republican Party Platform concerning Israel.

Shafi has, for months refused to do so.  But now, less than a week before a vote by the Tarrant County GOP Executive Committee on whether or not to remove him, he has made a statement of sorts, but not the statement he has been asked to make.

Instead of renouncing his endorsement by CAIR and repudiating this organization (in keeping with our Platform concerning CAIR), he merely claims not to have an association with CAIR.

And instead of stating that he supports Israel with Jerusalem as its undivided capital and opposes creation of a Palestinian state within the historic borders of Israel, he only says that he supports Israel’s “right to exist.”

In fact, Democrat Senate candidate Beto O’Rourk claims to support Israel’s right to exist” saying that Israel should “help the PA in negotiating in good faith and recognizing Israel's right to exist.”

However Sen. Ted Cruz rightly asserts that Rep. Beto O’Rourke has “the most anti-Israel record of any Senate Democratic candidate.”

O’Rourk attacked President Trump’s decision to move our embassy to Israel, and he has supported creation of a Palestinian state within the historic borders of Israel (as does the Texas Democratic Party Platform.)

By contrast our Texas Republican Platform on Israel states:

So Shafi’s claim that he supports “Israel’s right to exist” doesn’t really mean very much.  It is a statement that could and was also made by the most anti-Israel Senate Democratic candidate in this mid-term election!

Shafi is using weasel words in an attempt to mislead Tarrant County Republicans into believing that he supports our Texas Republican pro-Israel platform, when in reality, he has consistently refused to do so!

I can support Shafi’s right to exist, but I cannot support his suitability as the Vice Chair of a party with whose platform he clearly does not agree!

On November tenth the Tarrant County Republican Party Executive Committee will vote on whether or not Shafi should continue to serve as our County Vice Chair.

53+ Tarrant GOP Chairs Endorse CAIR Endorsed Vice Chair

Over 53 Tarrant GOP Chairs Endorse CAIR Endorsed Vice Chair
By
James Scott Trimm

'
The Investigative Project on Terrorism has recently uncovered and published the names of 101 Elected Lawmakers (mostly Democrats) who have signed letters endorsing CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations).  (See: PT Exclusive: IPT Obtains Letters of Support to Hamas Front Group From 101 Elected Lawmakers)

CAIR is essentially the American arm of HAMAS.  Our Texas Party platform says of CAIR:

177. Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR): We hereby call on all law enforcement and governmental agencies in Texas to avoid and suspend all contact and outreach activities with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), named unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation trial, with ties to terrorist groups such as Hamas.

CAIR is well known for its anti-Israel agenda..  And the ADL says of CAIR:

CAIR’s anti-Israel agenda dates back to its founding by leaders of the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), a Hamas affiliated anti-Semitic propaganda organization.

Our current Tarrant County GOP Vice Chair (appointed by our County Chair Darl Easton), Shahid Shafi, has been endorsed by CAIR:

Just as 101 lawmakers have signed a letter of support endorsing CAIR, recently over 53 Tarrant County Republican Precinct Chairs have signed a letter supporting and endorsing CAIR endorsed Shahid Shafi as our appointed Tarrant County Vice Chair.

On November 10th the Tarrant County Republican Party Executive Committee will vote on whether or not to reverse the appointment of  CAIR endorsed Shahid Shafi,

The Fall of America?

The Fall of America?
By
James Scott Trimm

America is facing a major crisis.  Our nation has endured for two hundred and forty two years.  That is a pretty good run for a nation. But we may be facing our end in the near future.

At one point it was unthinkable that the Roman Empire could come to an end.  The Roman Empire endured for 1,000 years!  And then it ended.

For all its faults, the Roman Empire was, at the time, the pentacle of civilization.  Yes the Emperors, beginning with Julius Caesar, had dictatorial powers, and there was slavery, but there was also a Republic with a Senate.  The Roman Empire cherished justice, even if it frequently failed at delivering it to all its subjects.  After its fall, European people’s longed for it’s return for centuries, and made many attempts to restore it.  In fact, its fall marks the beginning of the so-called “dark ages” in Europe.

So, what happened to the Roman Empire.  Much has been written on the topic.  Certainly, the rise of moral decay was a major contributor.  But one of the major causes was uncontrolled immigration.

The Roman Empire began to absorb Goth refugees from Europe.  These Goths that simply showed up, became known as “Visigoths” (Western Goths).  These Goth’s did not assimilate into Rome.  They did not cherish the things Roman’s cherished. Law, Justice and a Republic.  They did not want to become Romans, and as soon as their numbers were great enough, they began to take over, and destroy Rome from within.

Today the United States (and Europe for that matter) is faced with a similar fate.  America is absorbing uncontrolled immigration, much of it illegal, from migrants who do not share American values.  Many of them are from Islamic nations, and surveys show that they would support brining Sharia law to America.

Others are from Latin American nations, where their economies have been destroyed by socialism, and every indication is that they would bring more socialism here.

Now a caravan of thousands is headed for the US border like a band of Goths headed for the Roman Empire.  Will this be our end as well?
